Retire the workarounds.

Every shop has its tricks for the things design software never handled. Dovetail handles them.

  • Build a platform, stack 12″ wall cabinets on it, and line them up behind the island one piece at a time.

    Island back cabinets, in one click. Toe-kick platform and 12″ wall cabinets with full-height doors, all on the bill. Want panels or beaded board instead? That’s one click too.

  • Work out filler widths on a notepad, then redo them when a cabinet changes.

    Fill the wall. Cabinets chosen from your catalog, fillers sized, the leftover tucked into the corner. Tidy a run in one click.

  • Move the fridge, then chase each end panel and the bridge cabinet by hand.

    Frame the fridge. End panels and bridge cabinet in one click, and they move with it.

  • Guess the blind-corner clearance and hope the doors open.

    Corners that work. The clearance filler goes in on its own, and you’re warned if you cut it under 3″.

  • Retype every design you already drew in ProKitchen.

    Import it. Drop in a ProKitchen library and the walls, windows, cabinets and appliances come across.

  • Copy line items from the drawing into a spreadsheet, version three.

    The design is the estimate. Swap a cabinet and the price follows. There’s no second copy to go stale.
